SPONSORED WALK 2012

A Sponsored walk organized by head office greensleeves for all the homes in the group took place on   21^st april 2012 at 10.30.  The Mount Ephraim contingent set off in bright sunshine around the Tunbridge Wells Common.

The residents were assisted by walkers from chartwell lodgeand between them have raised almost £200 so far.

Afterwards the volunteer/friends went back to chartwell lodge for coffee and mount Ephraim staff and residents had a welcome warm drink back at meh

MP pays a visit - MEH Question Time

Rt Hon Greg Clark MP faced some tough questions from residents today - everything from Afghanistan to the 'granny tax' - but i think he enjoyed the challenge!

happy birthday doreen!

it was doreen's birthday friday 13th april and as well a lovely cake prepared by amanda, she enjoyed an impromtu tea dance in the games room, joined by peggy, derek, helen, ken, jenny and caroline on piano...

trip to burswood thursday 22nd march

thanks to vivienne and joan from chartwell lodge, we arranged a trip to burswood this afternoon to see the daffodils in full glory, and have tea and cake on the terrace. pictured: helen, christine, eric, marie, hester, joyce, lucille together with hollie, olivia,  and john the driver

Greensleeves Accolades to celebrate achievements in 2011...

.... tues 20th march 2012 at the Kia Oval in London, representatives from MEH were invited to the prize giving.

mount ephraim house were shortlisted for home of the year, gardens and grounds & activity provision, Christiane for volunteer of the year, Linda for carer of the year and marilyn for 'other category' award.

Although we did not win first prizes, we were very pleased to have been recognized and Linda received a special certificate for her achievement.

happy st patrick's day

 we are celebrating st patrick's day today at meh - jonathan is coming to play guitar and sing and karen has bought a supply of champagne and guiness for a 'black velvet' treat later on today!

end of another week...

 easter card making, john checking out maria callas on you tube, bingo with christiane, new hair do's, christine checking her emails and grace's knitting just keeps on growing!

tuesday activity at meh

 a full house at keep fit today, scrabble in the dining room, out of africa on dvd in the lounge and easter card making in the games room we had a busy day;  visitors for lunch and coffee and tea, walks in the grounds and a visit from the priest...!

great day to be outdoors...

decorating plates....

julie brought some beautiful paper napkins and showed us how to transform plain glass plates and votives

using a decopage technique.  phyll, patty, iris, ann and pat had a lovely relaxing and creative afternoon!

...today was all about magazines... we had a full house today and the topic was well received and sparked off all sorts of other conversations.

helen's friend comes to celebrate...

...joan whose birthday was last week, brought in a lovely cake and we held an impromptu birthday party. quite a day for tea and cake and candles today. hope she made a wish...

... it was our volunteer Joan's birthday today and she was subjected to a round of 'happy birthday to you' from the monday group in the library - she brought in some gorgeous chocolates for everyone; hope she has a lovely day.
