Eyes down for a full house...

Patty Philip Marie Marise Christine and Joan joined in with bingo today and won lots of prizes between them !   The other residents were either receiving visitors or enjoying the music supplied by regular Friday pianist, Derek .... Later Christiane was joined for the weekly quiz by Eileen and phyl, Marie and patty ... They are still going strong!

Heavy rain showers stopped any chance of a walk on the common for Jean and Anne - such a shame...

Lovely crafty day......

All go Friday...

Pam arrived with Thomas the PAT dog and went to visit all the residents... Some on the garden, some in the lounge and some at knit and natter! Peggy was doing her artwork and pam stopped to have a drink with her.  The painters are still here - got as far as the annexe corridors today- a lovely shade of green (it's taken a bit if getting used to after the dull cream walls) and Nathan was up for having his photo taken!  The garden is looking glorious in its autumn colours, especially the Virginia creeper ...

We arranged a trip to our favourite department store, Barsley's yesterday...

Marie celebrated her birthday today - first  thing being taken out by her family and later celebrating with her friends at meh.

Busy bees....!

 Thursday is always a busy day at meh - charity is here to do everyone's hair, jane arrives for computer fun, Jon McDevitt is playing the guitar and then nadia arrives for the weekly quiz...

Meanwhile Anne and Jean are arranging yet more flowers and Joan and Peggy are being creative with their art books.. 

I noticed Gordon busy with his financials on my way to the dining room and saw dear Marise under the dryer reading a magazine ... The weather is still so lovely that pat is sitting outside this afternoon reading the paper. 

Jenny and Roy are back....

...for creative pursuits in the games room today - they were joined by iris, Marie, patty, Mary and Marise - Peggy and Pat stayed for a while and enjoyed Jenny's homemade cake and a cup of tea!  Time to be thinking about making things for the Christmas fayre....

Watching the dog training !

Anne and Jean are engrossed in the dog training going on today... One man and his three dogs ..... We came out to collect cookers and pine cones but have got waylaid!

Early morning creativity!

While the others read and listened to Bill Bryson in the library, the more creative amongst us were busy in the games room with paint and pens....listening to dean martin & co!!

we were sitting outside the sovereign light café made famous by Keane (link above)
it was a perfect day, warm, calm sea, peaceful and the residents had a lovely time... lunch at the de la war pavilion, ice cream on the seafront and back in time for supper at MEH

we met some lovely people and their dogs along the front for a chat, collected a few pebbles to paint next week as a reminder of the day.......

Some of the team are on a training course today on the benefits of Eden alternative in care homes... Debbie has won the first prize of the day for decorating her name badge ! She certainly thinks outside the box...

5th annual golf day is a resounding success

Lamberhurst golf club, Thursday 11 th September at 8.30am - challenge was on for top team...

Winning team was 'tim pants' s group from sedlescombe ....

 

We raised lots of money, had fun and everyone went home with a prize of some sort !!  Thank you to everyone who played , sponsored the event , made donations or helped the day go smoothly!

Jean,  Anne and Peggy did a spot of flower arranging today... We collected some lovely blooms from the garden and they set to work out in the sunshine
