friday morning, Thomas did the rounds, doreen was reading in the lounge, patty (of course) was in the studio, jean and joan were being sociable.. but no-one seems to be doing the jigsaw puzzles...

Thomas pays a visit

Thomas the PAT dog (pets for therapy) came today for his weekly visit - the residents love him but no so sure about the cat... she was keeping a close eye on the situation!

motivational thursday

cathy came to liven everyone up after lunch this afternoon, with motivational exercises for the brain and body!!

its hairdressing day today, charity is busy in the salon, patty is in the art studio and marise is showing family and friends around the grounds.

SAX Recital...

Jacqui visited again this afternoon to play her sax for the residents - she issued everyone with percussion instruments in case anyone wanted to accompany her (they didnt!) but she also provided song sheets for those who wanted to join in with the singing could do so (they did!)

a lovely afternoon, and we are looking forward to seeing jacqui again soon.

a walk up Kilimanjiro with Shelagh!

we had an interesting talk this morning by Shelagh who came to mount ephraim house. she shared her story of a sponsored climb to the summit of kilimanjiro, raising over £4,000 for marie curie cancer research charity.

shelagh brought her walking boots, poles and hat which she said were the essential items which helped her reach her goal and so we asked her to pose for our album in full regalia!

she will be a regular visitor we hope as she has many more adventures to tell us about...

thursday evening, doug wake was booked for a rock and roll evening with the residents. buffet supper, fruit punch and music plus some little visitors who joined in the fun...
