LOCAL CARE HOME SCORES HIGHLY IN NATIONAL SURVEY OF RESIDENTS

MOUNT EPHRAIM HOUSE, has just taken part in the country’s largest and most authoritative survey of care home residents. The results from the survey have been made public today, performing strongly.

The nationwide survey, called Your Care Rating, is designed to give residents a voice, putting

their care at the heart of understanding more about how well care homes perform

KAREN COOPER at MOUNT EPHRAIM HOUSE said: “We’re delighted with our results from the 2013 Your Care Rating survey as it demonstrates how fulfilled our residents are.

The survey was compiled by leading research company Ipsos MORI with input from the care home operators taking part, plus the National Care Forum (NCF) and the English Community Care Association (ECCA).

In memory of Helen ...

Helen (aka Lady Helen!) recently passed away peacefully and her funeral was held today; a service of thanks for her life. She was a very happy person, always had a smile and enjoyed life to the full. The residents remembered her today with a tea party in the lounge; she will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with her family

Happy Birthday Joan

Wishing a very happy special birthday to our very dear volunteer, Joan. We had cakes with coffee in the library today during the weekly Monday Club ... The residents sang 'happy birthday' even though we couldn't find any candles for the cake !

Happy birthday Marion

Marion celebrated her birthday on Sunday!

Remembering Olive

We held a memorial tea for Olive on Friday after the funeral service. She used to love the quiz sessions at MEH in particular and so we arranged a general knowledge quiz, hosted by volunteer Christiana, in her honour, after the tea party. it was well attended by her fellow residents - she was such a clever and popular lady and would have been very chuffed!
