Easter art and craft today
Such a beautiful warm and sunny day today and some people took the opportunity to sit outside on the patio - to read, relax, have a manicure or just sit and chat over tea.... The games room was buzzing with activity - patty was painting chicks, Marie made Easter cards, jean took to painting eggs and was joined by her son, alistair... Iris did some watercolour painting. Jenny our volunteer brought homemade cake and roy made the tea!
Many of the other residents were enjoying Heather's class - Music for Health - and a few lucky ladies had visits from their families....great start to spring!
Greensleeves accolades 2013
Celebrating achievements of the 17 homes within the group, the accolade event was held at The Kia Oval in march this year.
Mount Ephraim House was recognised and short listed in the following categories- activities, gardens, innovation, fundraising, colleague of the year, carer of the year, and Home of the year. We are pleased to report that our Nkkita won the innovation award and Dianna got a special presentation for her 40 years service! Gemma received a framed certificate for 'carer of the year' at MEH and Catherine and Dianna received their level 2 diplomas in Housekeeping. Karen was very proud of her team and was only just pipped at the post for the 'manager of the year' award - although to MEH staff and residents she is already!
