Rainy Thursday...

Sadly not a day we could enjoy outside- we could only watch as the rain fell on the newly painted patio furniture, but at least the sunflowers got a good watering!

Plenty to do indoors- hair salon busy all day, nadia came to do the weekly quiz and more art and craft going on in the games room- Marise made a card, Joan enjoyed her colouring and jean painted a pebble, creating a paperweight for her daughter.
Anne was inspired by fellow resident Margaret's paintings of flowers and produced a lovely canvas ...
Our lovely volunteers from TWGS arrived in time to help with the painting, and in
the library the NCT group were meeting up with their babies; Anne and Jean popped in to say hello and Jean even had a cuddle with baby Oliver !

Diana Wilson - long service presentation!

We  celebrated with our own 'domestic goddess', Diana, being at MEH for forty years !   John Wylie, Vice Chairman and  Trustee of Greensleeves Homes Trust,  came to present Diana with an engraved clock, vouchers & flowers. He spoke warmly of her devotion and contribution to the Home and thanked her for her 40 years of service.  She is also in the unique position of being the longest serving member of staff ever!  She has seen many changes over the years but has always put the residents of MEH at the heart of everything she does.

The scarecrow,  (not finished, obviously !) made his first appearance....
